Melvin Stanley MS, PMP

Chief Executive Officer

BS Environmental Policy & Management

MS Occupational Safety & Health/Environmental Management

Melvin has been in the safety industry for over 25 years. He brings an abundance of safety knowledge in both the Automotive Construction Industry and Environmental Safety Management. He earned an Undergraduate Degree in Environmental Policy & Management while attending Kaplan University (Magna Cum Laude). Afterwards, at Columbia Southern University, Melvin acquired a Masters Degree in Occupational Safety & Health/Environmental Management. Prior to serving our country during Desert Storm, he earned the Distinguish Leadership Award used to recognize the student who demonstrates the highest leadership ability out of the entire Basic Leaders Course Class.


Melvin continued to serve his community for several years as a Fire Safety Trainer. During Hurricane Katrina, he received the United States Army Corps Of Engineers Certificate of Achievement for spearheading the recovery efforts as Lead Construction Safety Manager of Orleans Parish. On January 12, 2010 an earthquake measuring 7.0 on the Richter scale occurred in Haiti. As one of three Construction Safety Directors, Melvin was responsible for establishing and maintaining all landfills associated with the recovery efforts. He also managed the Infrastructure Safety Awareness Teams during assessments. Later he entered the Automotive Construction Safety Industry where he has trained and mentored safety professionals to become leaders in the safety industry.


Lorenzo Cooper ASP, PMP

Lorenzo has extensive experience in Petroleum Safety and Construction Safety Management. He has managed many projects throughout the United States and abroad. Lorenzo earned a Bachelors Degree in Marketing & Management while attending Southern University A&M. Lorenzo became a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. while attending Southern University. Afterwards, he received a Bachelors of Science in Petroleum Services and Safety Management at Nicholls State. Mr. Cooper has extensive experience in railroad safety compliance. He also conducted OSHA, DOT, and FRA Training for several railroad entities. As a Construction Safety Manager during the Hurricane Katrina Relief Project, Lorenzo was responsible for landfill operations, asbestos remediation, and Demolition Project Safety in St. Charles Parish (411 sq mi). While working abroad, he led nearly 640 employees conducting demolition of municipal structures damaged during the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.

Lorenzo has managed turnkey refinery projects in Louisiana and St. Croix USVI. While in St. Croix, Lorenzo led a team of over 1500 contractor employees to an elite achievement with over 12 million man hours with zero loss time or recordables. Mr. Cooper has committed himself to utilizing statistical data to improve safe work practice methods and procedures in our industry.


DONNELL GEORGE MS, PMP

Donnell has an array of experience in the safety industry. He has both High-Rise Construction Safety and Environmental Safety Management experience. Donnell earned undergraduate degrees in Fire Science and Occupational Safety & Health while attending Columbia Southern University (Cum Laude). Afterwards, he acquired a Masters Degree in Occupational Safety and Health/Environmental Management. He has over 25 years of experience in the safety industry. Mr. George started his career in safety as a Production Safety Technician manufacturing Vistalon rubber (ethylene propylene diene polyethylene) for a major distributor. Afterwards, as a contractor for Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality (LDEQ), he spearheaded a variety of demolition projects that contained asbestos materials for the State of Louisiana, including public schools and universities. 

As a part of the Safety Management Team in Haiti, he developed metrics and dashboard presentations for diplomats and company executives to increase awareness on safety performance of all projects associated with the reconstruction phase. Mr. George has managed high-rise (multistory) Demolition and Historical Restoration Projects.


Melinda Hansbury

Vice President of Operations

Melinda Hansbury joined SCG Consulting Group in 2023 as Vice President of Operations. Before joining SCG, Melinda spent over 20 years refining her client-centric sales operations and marketing skills at various Fortune-ranked companies, including W.W. Grainger, Citibank, and Staples. She has been responsible for the development, management, and execution of marketing strategies for a variety of clients in the manufacturing, industrial, and technology sectors. Melinda has extensive successful experience moving the needle to attain ROI and exceed client expectations. She is passionate about generating innovative ideas to drive results, foster continuous improvement efforts, and achieve operational excellence.


Melinda graduated from Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, with a Master of Business Administration degree and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Aquinas College in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
